I’ve now been working from Baked & Wired - my favorite coffee shop - for 4 hours.  2 more to go.  Then dinner at Eric Ripert’s Westend Bistro for restaurant week in DC.

{Look, now they serve their Intelligentsia coffee with little chocolate heart cookies!  I probably can’t eat it - the nut allergy thing - but I still appreciate it nonetheless.}

Was curious about the new High Museum exhibit of late works by Dali in Atlanta - because we just had an exhibit of Dali’s works on paper at the gallery last month.  And my jaw dropped when I saw how they opened the show….

Don’t know about you, but I’m partial to my thrifty use of Philippe Halsman’s book.  It features a photographic interview of a mustachioed Dali.  Bet the High didn’t spend the entire 2-hour Grey’s finale exacto-knifing each page of the book out.

I hope to use this blog as a way to keep in touch (and inspired!)
After graduating from Pitt in April of 2009 with a BFA in the History of Art & Architecture I didn’t know much about my future - except that by June my sisters and I were going on our long awaited trip trekking through Europe for six weeks.  It’s something I’ll never forget, and am still pretty fixated on the sights and experiences.  I then returned to the comforts of living at home again.  I’d been mulling over new adventures to explore.  Suddenly (& I mean that quite literally) an opportunity arose for me to live and work in Athens, Georgia thanks to my sweet friend LA.  Three weeks (& a jam-packed holiday season) later, I officially left Pittsburgh for the foreseeable future.
After 5 weeks in Athens - rather than solidifying my life in the South - I shipped by bags to Pittsburgh (the UPS guys didn’t appreciate this during the blizzards!) & bought myself a 2 week adventure in L.A. visiting my friends Melissa & Binta (with a weekend stop in Vegas to see the Joneses and the Strip).  This trip led to a job interview at a gallery in D.C. - which has brought me to living in Arlington & working in Georgetown.
So here I am…for the time being.

Something is going to make me sit still - I just haven’t figured that part out yet.  I will let you know how it goes…all that I am coveting, dreaming, rambling, wandering, reading, loving.
C’est voilà, c’est tout!
